B&P’s “Born On Date:” September 2007
I’m originally from Okinawa, Japan but have lived in Michigan for quite awhile. My husband and I, along with our two boys and Golden Retriever Roxy call Caladonia, MI home. We enjoy visiting Caberfae Peaks and Boyne Mountain in the winter where I love carving my snowboard on groomers. However I have this fantasy of trying some elements in a terrain park with no one watching!
In the warmer months I enjoy the beach at Lake Michigan, where we spend a lot of time camping, kayaking, stand-up paddling, relaxing and reading. I’ve become very fitness oriented over the last few summers, completing my first Triathlon last summer. I am now training for Michigan’s big mountain bike race, the Iceman Cometh, this November with a goal of finishing under 3 hours.
Someday I hope to visit New Zealand where I want to hike to the Waitoma Glowworm Caves. I’d also like to do an adventure race and learn how to kite-surf.
