B&P’s “Born On Date:” November 1995
Originally from Ann Arbor, I now live in East Grand Rapids with my husband and two children. We all love to ski in the winter and hit the beach in the summer. We also enjoy varying our family vacations between the Carribean and Aspen, CO as a way of escaping the long grey springs in Grand Rapids. The diving is a highlight of our Carribean trips, while getting first tracks then retiring to a sunny spot for some “deck skiing” make for a great day out west!
I’ve fallen in love with Stand-Up paddling on Lake Michigan and think being a SUP instructor would be cool so I can share my passion with others. So far I’ve had luck teaching my dog Winnie, our 15 year old Golden Retriever, to SUP, so maybe I can find a niche teaching canine SUPing?
Some things I’d really like to try are kite sailing and fly-fishing. I’d also like to visit Easter Island where I can meet the Rapi Nui and check out the big volcanic rock heads. Until that chance comes however, I’ll keep playing outside with my family, taking care of the dog, a 7 yr old cat, and a 2 year old rabbit, and keeping everyone at the store smiling!
