Our Basics of Coastal Kayaking class is designed for new or developing paddlers looking to take the sport away from shore or those who want to paddle for fitness as well as fun.  If you paddle a decked kayak designed for open water, would like to paddle farther than 100 yards from shore safely, or want to negotiate wind or waves better, this would be the perfect choice of programs.

Pre-requisites:  No prior kayaking or paddling experience required.  Students must be comfortable in the water as tipping over and performing in-water recoveries are a big part of this class.  Participants should be 14 years of age or older.
