Big Happy Surprise

As a sea kayaker and rigid hull enthusiast, I've never been fond of inflatable kayaks or SUP's. Those I've paddled have felt sluggish, don't track well, and seem awkward when moving them around.
This JLF 12' inflatable pretty much wowed me the other night. It's a stable, comfortable, and great tracking (goes straight) inflatable. I found it quite easy to inflate, although the pump was a little noisy. Moving it around was easy due to a manageable weight and well placed handles. On the water I was amazed how well it handled both going straight as well as doing some lean turns. While I didn't go far, I could have spent a lot longer in the kayak as the seat was much more comfortable than it felt in the store.
In choppy water it felt a little rippely underneath, but that seems to be the case with all inflatables. Overall, I think this is a great value package for those who need the portability and packability of an inflatable.
